2023/11/29～12/5にGinza Gallery Seekで個展させていただきます。

2016年から続いている「花隠れ」のシリーズの最新作を展示予定です。

今回はこのシリーズ初の大型作品をインスタレーション的に展示します。

梅田綾香　個展　‐花隠れ‐

骨と花で構成する『花隠れ』のシリーズは2016年から続いているものです。道端で命を落としコンクリート上で朽ちていく生き物から、もしその生き物が元々の生息地で、自然の摂理に従って死んでいたら、その姿はどうだっただろうか、そんなふとした想いから始まりました。生き物の生息地や習性を基に生前起こり得たストーリーを想像し、廻りゆく瞬間に咲かせる花を描いています。このシリーズを通じて、死生観、生き様について問いかけながら表現し続けています。
私が用いる蝋染めの技法はこのシリーズのコンセプトに結び付く重要な要素です。蝋染めは淡い色から染め、その色を残したい部分に蝋を浸透させ、徐々に濃い色を染め重ねていくことで複雑に描くことができます。この制作過程により白い骨から染め上がり、次第に骨の周りが色づき、花が明瞭になっていき、廻りゆく美しい瞬間を捉えるように染めあがります。生き物の骨とそこから咲き誇る花を、俯瞰する写真のような構図で描くことで、生と死の瞬間を追求しています。
今回の個展では、このシリーズで初めて大型作品に挑戦し、空間構成にも取り組みます。遺体が養分となり、骨と花が地上に残り、風化して自然と一体化するその先、未知の世界を思い描き、その境界を表現しました。地上と地下、表面と奥深く、生と死、現世とあの世といった対比を通じて、花隠れのシリーズの更なる展開を試みました。鑑賞者にはその両方に没入し、骨と花と共に狭間を漂うような感覚を味わっていただければ幸いです。

My solo exhibition will be held at Ginza Gallery Seek from 29th November to 5th December.

I’ll try to display large size works like installation. I would be happy if you could see the actual work.

About “Last Flowers”

This is one of my art series called, ‘Last Flowers.’ This is a series that depicts the moment when animals return to the cycle of nature after death. I was inspired by the dead animals I saw on the road, including the ones hit by vehicles. Because of the animals that die on the road, I suddenly became more conscious about death in every aspect of life. I felt a strong sense of unnaturalness and cruelty to creatures dying on concrete. This made me think about my own view of life and death. I imagined what it would be like if a living thing naturally died in the place where it should live. And I imagined the flowers blooming around their bones and finally decided to draw them. I want to deepen my view of life and death through this series. Also, I hope that this series will give the viewers the opportunity to think about life and death in our society.

Exhibition’s concept

For this solo exhibition, I tried to create a large work for the first time in this series. I envisioned an unknown world beyond that, where the flesh becomes　nourishment, bones and flowers remain on the ground, fade and become one with nature, and I expressed the boundary between them. I attempted to further develop the Last flowers series through contrasts between above ground and underground, surface and depth, life and death, and this world and afterlife. I hope that viewers will be able to immerse themselves in both, feeling as if they are floating the between.

2023/10/19～23開催のART TAIPEI 2023にGallery Seekより出品させていただきます。全日在廊予定です。
